When the Rockies were in town....

The Colorado Rockies made their trip out here in April. Yes, they only come once a year and yes, we get a little excited about the event....we get to the stadium two hours early...we are okay with it.

Walking into the stadium
Morgan's first professional baseball game...
we made sure the Rockies were involved.

So excited to be at the game they were holding hands and following directions!

Nats vs. Rockies

Grandaddy checking out the field.
(Go Tulo)

Little Helton fan...

Bigger Helton fan...

Right on the field...who couldn't resist letting these two that close to the players...
(thanks to the stadium worker, Morgan worked her charms on him)

Batting practice

Helton...up close...
(Haley, that one is for you!)

Waiting for the game...
(suckers helped)

Thompson family at the game.

We didn't get any really good autographs this time. We did get Seth Smith's but it is a little runny and sort of un-readable at this point. Davis was super patient in waiting though...a little sad at the end when he didn't get to see Helton again. I told him that it was okay, he already has his autograph twice now...
Last year we were just super lucky to get Helton's and Jimenez's autograph...

Yes...I did take his picture during the anthem...but he was looking right at me, I swear!

So, the man standing down in the front with us knew Spilly! Spilly came over to meet his twins and I got some pics of it...I was later able to email them to the dad/friend of Spilly....so cute!

Morgan cheering on the Rockies!

Grandaddy caught a foul ball...bare handed, it was an awesome catch. That ball came flying through the stands at head level, Grandaddy was really luck he was paying attention
(so was Morgan's head).

Morgan with Nana.

Spilly's up!

Davis eating a dog...

...then some cotton candy.
Believe it or not Morgan did not like the cotton candy at all...

...and found that playing with the handle way more fun than watching the game...
