Hawaii- Golfing & North Shore

Saturday we headed out to go golfing....that is me on the far end...gotcha! There was no way I was going to spend that kind of money on my golfing skills in Hawaii...Kyle and Pete spent the day golfing and Jessica and I hit her favorite beach spot.
Lovely golf course...

that doubles as a church on Sundays!...
There was a wedding taking place that day as the boys finished up on the 18th hole.

This is Jessica's favorite beach so far on the island. It is part of the Air Force base there on the island so it is only open to the public on the weekends.
I think this was the 'whitest' sand I have ever seen!

Sunday we ventured up the H2 towards the North Shore.
Kyle woke up early and cleaned up the Jeep and we all hopped in for the ride!

See all those dots out there? Those are the surfers and body boarders.
But no swimming allowed for us beach go'ers.

Waiting for the perfect 'set'.

There was an actual body boarding competition that day so there was a bunch of professional photographers out there doing their thing.

But there were surfers out there too....

There was complete silence on the beach...
it was kind of spooky...

Enjoying the view...

On our way back Pete exclaimed that he saw a whale...
so Kyle popped over the curb and pulled over...

Sure enough, Pete has the best eyes of anyone I know,
there were 3-4 whales out there just playing around!

This was the best shaved ice ever!...Jessica got a scoop of ice cream in the bottom of hers,
I was not as brave and just stuck with the regular shaved ice.
The line for this place was out
of the building!
