So...we got back from the beach about two weeks ago and I am just now getting to posting pictures. I guess that is a sign that we are way too busy having fun to post pictures this summer!
We headed down to the Outer Banks for a few days. The water was perfect and it wasn't too hot at all!
One afternoon we headed down to Ocracoke Island for some sight seeing...but to be honest we got a late start and there was such long lines at the ferry heading back home that we literally rode the ferry there and rode it back just so Davis could say he rode a ferry!
Here are the kids in the car on the ferry...don't worry, we let them out too!
Each ferry is named for a college or university from NC....Guess which ferry I ended up getting on heading back? That's right...good ol' Meredith College....it was meant to be...
This is Pete trying to un-knot the kite string...it took awhile...
...about an hour later...
(we eventually got the knot out...I have to say all I could think of was the Griswold's Family Christmas where Clark hands that big knot of Christmas light to his son and says, "Little knot here, you can work on that Russ".)
I made a sea turtle...
...we named him 'Crush'...I bet you will never guess where that name came from?...
We had a great time...so much so that we are heading back in August!
